Miley Ousley of Claypool, passed away at 1:23 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, at the age of 84.
He had worked in the coal mines of Ky. for ten years before moving to Kosciusko County. Miley was a lifelong hard worker and retired in 1995 after 35 years with Dalton Foundries of Warsaw. He attended the Regular Baptist Church and will be missed by many.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1931, in Risner, Ky. to Oscar Ousley and Rosie (Campbell) Ousley. On June 19, 1953, he was married to Betty Lois (Gibson) Ousley, who survives in Claypool.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son: Jerry (Karen) Ousley, Nappanee; three daughters: Vera (Lowell) Gruenewald, North Manchester; Debra (Earl) Johnson, Rochester; Sharon Durnell, Claypool; four grandchildren: Alissa Gruenewald, North Manchester; Elijah (Carmen) Durnell, Goshen; Jeffrey (Kayla) Gruenewald, Greenwood; Ryan Gruenewald, Mishawaka; and three great-grandchildren: Judah; Ava; and Elsa Durnell. Also surviving are three brothers: Beecher Ousley, Martin, Ky.; Dormal Ousley; Martin, Ky.; Delano (Juanita) Ousley, Martin, My.; sisters: Alma Jean Kost, Cleveland, Ohio; Bonnie (Sandy) Conard, Winchester, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Cornealis Ousley; and his sister: Mavis Hicks.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Graceland Cemetery of Claypool.
