Lizabeth Rogaskie, 18, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 1:07 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Ind.

On Nov. 12, 1993, Lizzie was born in Hennepin County, Minn. She is the daughter of Gerri Lee and Steve Reisinger and her biological father, Rick Rogaskie. She lived in the Brainerd area of Minnesota before moving to Warsaw 9 years ago.

She received a heart transplant in 1999 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and also received care at Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis. Lizzie was a kind and caring person who loved animals and kids. She was especially close to her niece Rainie. She also loved going to Camp ODayin which was a camp for children with heart issues. Lizzie loved riding the Harley with Steve. She loved being outdoors, enjoyed nature and playing in the snow. Lizzie also loved computers, her phone and keeping in touch with her friends. Lizzie had a great smile, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor.

She is survived by her parents: Gerri Lee and Steve Reisinger, Claypool; her biological father: Rick Rogaskie; one sister: Rebecca (Matthew Swafford) Rogaskie, Claypool; a niece: Rainie Swafford, Claypool; two half sisters: Meghan and Kristen Rogaskie, Maryland; one half brother: Ricky Rogaskie, Maryland; three step-sisters: Kerri, Christy and Jamie, all of Indianapolis; and a step-brother: Nick (Teresa), Indianapolis; maternal grandfather: Jack “Poppy” Andersen, Minnesota; grandmother: Donna Collins, Fort Wayne; her aunt and uncle: Sue “Grandma Susie” Koeneman, Minnesota; and her uncle and aunt: Scott and Evelyn Andersen, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa: Lenny Reisinger; grandma: Carole Andersen; and her nephew: Bentley Swafford.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

The family requests memorial contributions are to be made to Lizabeth L. “Lizzie” Rogaskie Funeral Fund, C/o Gerri Lee.
