Robert “Bob” Courtney Sr., 77, Claypool, formerly of Wabash, died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at home.
He was born Jan. 22, 1946. On July 5, 1969, he married Allene Phillips, who preceded him in death in 2004. On Sept. 1, 2012, he married Alecia Schlemmer, who survives.
He also is survived by six sons, Robert (Kendra) Courtney, Pierceton, Jeff Courtney, Pierceton, Gale (Sherry) Courtney, Roann, Gary (Stephanie) Courtney, Acworth, Ga., John Walls, Warsaw, and JR (Karla) Banninger, Twin Peaks, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Amber (Mike) Bean, Peru; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Donna Steele; and one sister-in-law, Judy Courtney.
