Jan E. Mayer, Claypool, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, at the age of 70.
She came into this world alongside her twin brother, Jim, on March 31, 1954, in Warsaw. She fell in love with a young man by the name of James “Jim” Gregory Mayer, and they were married on July 28, 1973.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband: Jim Mayer, Claypool; son, Travis (Jennifer) Mayer, Roanoke; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her twin brother: Jim (Teresa) Copeland, Waco, Tex.; and her sister, Deloris Copeland, Bourbon. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Karen (Joe) McKibbin.
