
June Senff
June Ann Senff, 84, of Mentone, passed surrounded by family at 2:05 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2024.
June was born on April 12, 1940, in Kokomo, to the late Virgil O. and Dorotha M. (Bentley) Smith. She married Eldon D. Senff on Nov. 9, 1974, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2004, in Texas.
She worked for Miller’s Merry Manor, Tippecanoe Valley High School and Anderson Greenhouse for 10 years. After her husband’s retirement, they traveled extensively across the country and established a homestead in Brownsville, Texas, for several years.
June was a member of Moose No. 1423 of Warsaw and enjoyed square dancing in Mentone. She had a passion for crafting, gardening, sewing, crocheting and taking short drives around the area. A devoted NASCAR fan, she cherished trips to Martinsville Speedway, her favorite track. She also enjoyed collecting dolls and chalk figures.
She is survived by her children, Tracey and wife Lori Quier, of Claypool, Dean and wife Kathy Quier, of Mentone, and Sonya and husband Steve Tener, of Bourbon; stepchildren, Leslie and husband Roger Morrow, of Akron, Rhonda and husband Walleed Sharbini, of Texas, and Jennifer Hatfield, Illinois; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; siblings, Buddy Smith, Bill Smith, Beverly Tackett and Keith Smith; and foster daughter. Sherrie Currier, Maine.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; sons, David Christopher Senff and Robert Wayne Senff; infant daughters, Susan Elizabeth and Cynthia Lynn; and 10 siblings.
A private interment will take place in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
The arrangements have been entrusted to King Memorial Home,101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.
