Kenton Neal McDonald

Kenton Neal McDonald, 58, Claypool, Ind., went home to our heavenly Father at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb.

He was born on May 17, 1954, in Noblesville, Ind., to Marilyn (Hammons) and Jack McDonald, who both survive in Silver Lake, Ind. On June 5, 1982, in Warsaw, Ind., he was married to Cheryl Lynn Montel, who survives in Claypool.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his son: Justin Neal McDonald, Sidney, Ind.; a daughter: Melissa Lynn McDonald, Indianapolis; two brothers: Trenton (Marilyn) McDonald and Brenton (Tabatha) McDonald, all of Silver Lake, Ind.; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Kenton had a great love for farming and especially raising his Angus Beef herd. He recently retired from his Investment Casting Lab Tech position at Zimmer, Inc. of Warsaw, Indiana after 39 years of service. He had served as a 4-H leader for the Sidney Triple S Club, and over the years enjoyed helping his nephews and neighbors with their animal projects. Kenton will always be remembered as a good friend you could count on.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Kent Harting. Burial will follow at Clemmers-Fishers-Ross Cemetery in Claypool.

Memorial donations in Kenton’s name may be directed to Center United Methodist Church, 9470 South 300 East, Silver Lake, IN 46982; or designated to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund, c/o K-21 Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1810, Warsaw, IN 46581-1810; or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society-Indiana Chapter, 941 East 86th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
