Joseph E. Felke, 66, Claypool, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Saturday Feb. 11, 2017 at his home.
He was born on Nov. 25, 1950 in Plymouth, the son of Francis Edward and Evelyn Joan (Owens) Felke. On April 8, 2004 in Claypool, he married Marsha Welch and she survives.
Joseph had worked in advertising at the Times-Union Newspaper in Warsaw for over forty years. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He enjoyed horse racing, playing cards but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their events.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Felke, Claypool; children, Tressa Marie and husband Rod Mohler, Hoffman Estates, Ill.; Marc Joseph and wife Desiree Felke, Plymouth; Cassandra Lynn Felke, Hoffman Estates, Ill.; step daughter, Amy and husband Aaron Bird, Rochester; grandchildren: Anthony Felke, Nicholas Felke, Miguel Felke, Morgan Mohler, Mackenzie Bird, Miranda Felke, Brooklynn Felke, Mariah Felke; parents: Ed and Joan Felke, Rochester, Indiana, brother, Mike Felke, Rochester, Indiana and niece, Brandy Babcock, Buchanan, Michigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester with Rev. Michael McKinney officiating. Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, where military graveside services will be conducted.
