Mary LaSuer

Mary Lou LaSuer, known to most simply as Mary, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. She was born on Aug. 22, 1936, in Warsaw, to her loving parents, Lloyd and Bertha Blanche Evans Fitton, along with stepmother Hazel Fitton.

Mary led a selfless life as a homemaker, putting her family before all. During her younger years, she worked as a telephone operator. Later on, she became an integral part of the family business, LaSuer Industries. However, above all else, Mary cherished her role as a devoted wife and mother.

In her free time, Mary found joy in engaging activities such as crosswords, word searches and Sudoku. Additionally, she had great memories of traveling with her family, had a passion for reading and was very engaged in her disappointment for the direction America is headed, hoping America will be Great Again.

Mary was surrounded by family throughout her life. Her sister, Helen, was her best friend, and she adored her husband, Robert Wayne. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bennetts, of Henderson, Nev.; her son, Rob LaSuer, of Claypool; her granddaughter, Erin Briseno, of Milford; and her niece, Beverly Davidson, of Fort Wayne. Furthermore, she leaves behind five great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Mary was married to Robert Wayne LaSuer on Sept. 3, 1965. Robert preceded her in passing, as did her parents and two siblings.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Mary and the family. The family is grieving privately; no services will be held.
