Kevin Bailey, 37, of Claypool, Ind., passed away at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 4, 1976, in Warsaw, Ind., to Luther and Annie (Manns) Bailey. On March 26, 2004, in Claypool, he married Shannon Sexton.
Memberships: He was a 1995 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. He was a member of the National Beagle Association of America, enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles, as well as fishing. He was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and Tony Stewart in NASCAR. But most of all he loved spending time with his boys. He worked as a mechanic.
Kevin is survived by his wife: Shanna Bailey, Akron, Ind.; two sons: Alexander and Cayden Bailey, both of Akron, Ind.; his parents: Luther and Annie Bailey, Claypool; sisters: Lesa (Roger) Balton, Mentone, Ind.; Aimee (Michael) Dunn, Woodstock, Ga.; and brothers: Charley (Penny) Bailey, Warsaw; and Ronald Bailey, Silver Lake, Ind.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastors Henry Arnett Jr. and Alvin Allen. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be give to a trust that has been sent up at Lake City Bank for Alexander and Cayden Bailey.
